About Pine River Pond

Located in Wakefield, NH

Pine River Pond is 3.5 miles in length and before current use by us all, PRP originally was used as a power source for Mathes' Mill at the outlet of the pond back in the early 1800's. The pond is now kept at it's current level by the Arthur H. Fox Memorial Dam built back in 1977. PRP covers 594 acres, with it's deepest spot at 62 feet off Boys Island. The mean depth of the pond is 15 feet. PRP is at an elevation of 584 feet above sea level.

Today we all use the lake for our enjoyment whether it be fishing, skiing, swimming or just kicking back watching a sunset from the sandbar. Yes, it can be busy on the weekends during the summer months, but we all enjoy our piece of the pond and all the opportunities it has to offer.

Learn the complete history and information on PRP by purchasing the Pine River Pond book and map (included) at the store. For more information click here.
